My work is also my hobby which means the love and passion I have for it is second to none. My biggest belief is that an interior can have the biggest effect on our mood, self esteem, belief in ourselves. A home and its design should be a sanctuary to the person living inside. A well designed room or space has a huge impact on us as people and how we conquer our world.
(I actually covered this in my dissertation if anyone wants a read).
"An interior is the natural projection of the soul." - Coco Chanel
I grew up in the beautiful county of Oxfordshire in a small village called Cropredy. Home to Fairport convention (fun and friendly folk music festival). Surrounded by countryside it was an amazing place to grow up with the freedom to build on my imagination.
My family mean the world to me, and I am very loyal when it comes to my nearest and dearest.
I am lucky to have travelled to many countries picking up inspiration on the way and learning all different cultures. I now live back in the shire in my own cottage renovation with my hubby to be and two little daschunds.
I have been in the interiors world for over 10 years now, working on some amazing projects. Most of my child and teenage years I spent creating mood boards, working with textiles and fabrics and designing houses on the Sims (blocking my parents computer with downloads of furniture). I went on to taking this passion and moved to the coast where I gained my degree in interior architecture from the University of Portsmouth. My first job from uni was for a housing development company designing show homes. I believe I would still be there today, however the opportunity to move out to Abu Dhabi came up so I grabbed it with both hands and moved there. I landed a job working for the royal family, designing private villas and areas within the grounds of palaces for VIP's. I was out in the UAE for 4 years before moving home to start on my own home renovation and go full time free lance as a designer.
